Greener Waste Limited - Literature

Here is a selection of literature from Greener Waste. The Case Studies will give you an idea of some of the projects we have undertaken and perhaps how we could help you.

The articles here are reprinted from various trade journals, and should help to give an insight into the technology implemented by Greener Waste.

We hope these are of use to you and welcome your feedback.

Case Studies

Bio-augmentation of a small works treating trade effluent from an ice cream manufacturer which discharges significant loads in the period June to September each year.

The discharge to the works occasionally exceeds consent but even when within consent, leads to a deterioration final effluent quality. In previous years this has led to occasional sample failures of the final effluent but in 2005 this resulted in the works failing for the calendar year. Any future failures would therefore increase the risk of prosecution by the EA.

This case study of a small water treatment works with a population equivalent of 9,000 - 5,000 of which came from a nearby fish processing company! Bio-augmentation technology from Greener Waste Limited was successfully used to optimise the process which sufferred from excess FOG, BOD overload, poor nitrification, and poor sludge quality.

This case study shows two sites where the filter beds were successfully cleaned without the need for the dismantling of distribution equipment, without removing the media, without adverse impact or disturbance on the structure of the bed (retaining walls and drainage tiles) and with minimum interference to site operation.
